  25. An official statement (last monday) from Escom says, that they'll selling new
  26. Amigas in 2 months. (This is not here from the net, this is from a newspaper
  27. called Der Bund, which has nothing to do with computer... (on the business-side)

  35. They has not dropped simply their Sources in the trashcan. Why they should not
  36. continue supporting in a easy way? E.g. Elastic Reality, with her open interface
  37. can easy port her (new) loaders and savers to the Amiga. Possibly it will give
  38. nothing absolute new from them, but i'm sure, they'll continue the support.
  39. The same with Lightwave (i think Stuart Ferguson can confirm this... :-). Nothing
  40. special new, but continue support, bugfixes e.c.t...

  47. Aaahh, hell. Drop the Amiga, do it. Buy a PC and do LW on it. Do it now. And
  48. cry in a moth when the first PowerPC-upgrades for your PC comes, which are,
  49. with the 604, as twice as fast... and has Win NT on it and has the same price
  50. (No, i don't talk about Power-Mac's). I think NewTek will support this PowerPC
  51. cause they has NT-versions from LW. So why should they not support the cheap
  52. PowerPC's?
  53. No, man, i can wait. Too many things will happen in the next few moths.

  63. Erm... Do you think, the Mac with his some million in using units, is a safe way?
  64. It is possible that the Mac will drop as fast as the Amiga will drop. Win 95
  65. (if it comes in a better version than the beta :-) will take alot from the
  66. mac-goodies to the PC (plug- and play, similar user-interface e.c.t.).
  67. Many users now wish the same interface for NT and i'm sure, they'll do that as
  68. fast as possible.
  69. But the point is: we are here in a LW-newsgroup and Mac has no LW on
  70. it. So we better don't talk about this machines here... :-)
